Scope
This document applies to the UVC irradiation component as part of a central air handling unit (AHU).
Target group
This document is intended for air conditioning, ventilation and electricity contractors.
Contractors are qualified and trained installers, electricians, etc., who are tasked with assembling,
commissioning and maintaining the AHU and the UVC irradiation component.
Other applicable documents
All other documents supplied with the UVC irradiation component also apply. These must also be
observed.
In addition to this operating manual, instructions can also be provided in the form of stickers on the UVC
irradiation component. These must also be observed.
Safekeeping of these documents
Documents must be kept in a suitable location and must be available at all times. The user is responsible
for the safekeeping of all documents.
The documents are provided by the contractor.
Intended use
As part of a central air handling unit (AHU), the UVC irradiation component inactivates viruses, bacteria
and fungi in the airflow of the unit.
This inactivation is accomplished by the UVC irradiation component using the built-in UVC emitter.
Incorrect use
Using the appliance for any purpose other than what is described above is considered incorrect use.
All modifications by the customer and incorrect use of the UVC irradiation component are prohibited.
WOLF GmbH accepts no liability for any resulting damages. The user bears sole responsibility and
liability for any such use.
Safety measures
Never remove, bypass or otherwise disable any safety or monitoring equipment. Only operate the UVC
irradiation component while in a technically faultless condition. Any faults or damage that impact or might
impact safety must be remedied immediately by a qualified contractor.
Replace faulty parts with original WOLF replacement parts.

Safety information:
UVC radiation is harmful to humans!
Avoid direct eye and skin contact at all times!
To ensure safety for humans and the air handling unit, the following
points must absolutely be observed:
- No direct irradiation of humans!
UVC radiation damages the eyes and skin!
- No installation of plastic components (e.g. additional measurement devices) in the UVC
irradiation component that are not made of UVC-resistant material!
