INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing JOBST
gradient compression hosiery collection
that is recommended by physicians. JOBST
UlcerCARE™ is designed for maximum patient
compliance for the effective management of
venous leg ulcers.
JOBST
UlcerCARE™ is an efficacious and easy-
®
to-use compression system for the management
of venous leg ulcers. JOBST
helps prevent recurrence of venous leg ulcers.
Two components, a Medical Stocking (with or
without a zipper) and a Compression Liner,
provide a nominal compression of 40 mmHg* at
the ankle with decreasing pressure gradient from
distal to proximal.

The JOBST
UlcerCARE™ compression system is
®
indicated for the following conditions:
• Management of venous leg ulcers after edema
reduction

• Weeping dermatoses
• Immobility (confinement to bed)
• Severely compromised skin sensibility and
advanced peripherical neuropathy.
• Conditions in which increased venous and
lymphatic return is not desired.
• Incorrectly measured and badly fitting
compression stockings may cause constriction
leading to e.g. skin necrosis, pressure ulcers and
pressure related peripheral nerve damage during
use.
• Open wounds must be covered with an
appropriate dressing before the compression
liner is put on.
• Appropriate foot wear must be worn when
walking to help prevent falls.
• JOBST
UlcerCARE™ is recommended following

• After complete healing of the venous leg ulcer,
continued use of JOBST

• Medical compression garments should only
be used after consultation with your doctor

considering age and health status.
• Patient measurements should be taken by a
trained person to determine the correct product
size needed and to decide whether a custom-
made or ready-to-wear garment is required.
• When re-ordering a garment we recommend
remeasuring the patient as the limb
circumference might have changed.
• If you notice discomfort, pain, numbness,
changes in skin color, appearance of new wounds
or swelling during wear, stop using the product
and contact your healthcare professional.
• Any serious incident that has occurred in
relation to this device should be reported to the
