Minor Seal Kit and Polar Extreme Seal Kit
O (D)-Ring, Face Seal and System Sentry
1. Remove the O-ring from the Air Chamber and
clean the O-ring contact surfaces.
2. Inspect the Face Seal for signs of wear that may
indicate dirt exists in the air system.
If dirt or oil exists in the air system, the air system
must be cleaned and dried before the fan drive
is reinstalled.
3. Remove the Piston Friction Disc and clean the
splines of both the Piston Friction Disc and the
Splined Hub.
4. Check the System Sentry
melting. If your fan drive is not equipped with a
System Sentry
Piston Friction Disc is replaced with a System
Sentry
If for any reason, excessive heat is building up in
the fan drive, the System Sentry
create an air open air passage. This shuts down
the system to prevent any further damage.
5. When replacing the System Sentry
loosen it in the correct direction. It is a left hand
thread and needs to be turned clockwise for
removal.
