Unpacking Your Tool

Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all its
features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If
any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before
attempting to use this tool
Placement of your inverter
• Do not use the inverter in a damp environment, or any position where the
inverter could accidentally come into contact with water
• Always position the inverter away from direct sunlight and other
heat sources. The inverter should only be used when the ambient air
temperature is between 10-30˚C
• Allow for adequate ventilation around the inverter. There should always
be at least 25mm of clear space around the inverter. Do not place
anything on top of the inverter. Ensure ventilation holes are not obscured
• Do not use the inverter in any location where flammable gases may be
present
Connecting to a car cigarette socket
• Do not attempt to connect the inverter to any form of 230V distribution
system (e.g. building or caravan wiring)
• This inverter should only be used with 12V DC negative earth electrical
systems. Use with any other type of system may be dangerous and could
cause permanent damage to electrical components
• Remove the cigarette lighter assembly or dummy plug from the vehicle's
cigarette lighter socket and insert the inverter
• If necessary use the Tension Switch (4) to expand out the Cigarette
Plug Negative Connector (6). This allows for variation in cigarette lighter
socket size and is not an on/off switch for the device
• After a few seconds the LED Indicator Light (1) will illuminate, indicating
power is supplied and it is ready to use.
• The mains socket and USB socket are powered when inserted into a live
car cigarette lighter socket. To switch off simply remove from the socket
Note: Do not attempt to connect the inverter to the 12V supply by any other
means than the supplied connector
