Note: You can connect the coax cable to the monitor via a BNC, an S-video or a cinch connector
(depending on the monitor used). Connectors and required intermediate parts are not supplied.
fig.4: connecting the system to a monitor via the universal module
If you not only want to see your visitor on your monitor, but also wish to talk to him/her, you can
connect a telephone set to the universal module via the RJ12 connector.
Notes:
If you connect the telephone to the RJ12 connector, you have to connect the universal module to the
telephone exchange (see user manual splitters and switchers).
3. PROGRAMMING
Via the interface (16-651), you enter the system's programming or reset mode. For an exhaustive
description of the programming, see user manual of the 16-651.
The red LED on the universal module gives feedback during programming:
- the red LED blinks at normal speed (1Hz): the system is still in programming or reset mode!
- the red LED blinks faster:
* in programming mode: address saved
* in reset mode: internal unit deleted.
4. OPERATION
As soon as the camera is activated, the programmed image is immediately displayed on the TV
set (regardless of the channel to which the TV set is tuned in). The red LED lights if the module
receives a video signal.
- If the image is not automatically displayed on your TV when you are watching a video or DVD,
exchange the scarts (in case of two scart connections). If the video or DVD player has a scart input,
then connect the universal module to this input.
- If your TV set only has a coax input, use the coax output of the universal module (see'3.2. Connec-
tion to a monitor via coax cable').
- If you do not have enough scart connections, you can split the connections via a multiple scart
connection box (available on the market). In this case an automatic switch is very suitable. This
switch automatically transmits the last activated input.
