Question/Problem
The device does not activate when pressing the
"Power ON/Measurement" button:
� The batteries are discharged;
� The batteries are not properly placed;
The measured value is not acceptable:
� The laser ray outlet or the reception lens are foggy
(sudden change of temperature);
� The laser ray outlet or the reception lens are covered;
� Obstacles on the alignment with the laser ray;
The display shows an error message:
� 204 – Calculation Error;
� 208 – Excessive current;
� 220 – Discharged batteries;
� 252 – Too high temperature;
� 253 - Temperatura muito baixa;
� 255 – Too weak reception sign;
- Too long measurement time;
� 256 – Too intense reception sign;
The target surface reflects intensively or the ambient
light it's too bright.
� 261 – Out of measurement range;
� 500 – Hardware error;
Solution
� Replace the worn batteries by new ones;
� Place the batteries according to the polarity shown in
the batteries compartment;
� Clean the laser ray outlet and the reception lens with a
soft and dry cloth;
� Make sure the laser ray outlet and the reception lens
are unobstructed;
� The laser must reach the target surface without any
interference;
� Use the device according to the operating instructions;
� Contact customer service;
� Replace batteries;
� Use the device inside the temperature range: 0°C -
40°C;
� Use a proper target plate;
� Use a proper target plate;
Decrease luminous intensity;
� Measure inside the measurement range (0.2 – 20m);
� Remove the batteries and restart the device several
times and then insert the batteries. If the error persists,
contact technical assistance;
