Attach the L-Bracket rear mountings to the subframe
using the M8 x 16 bolts and spring washers supplied.
Leave loose. The front mountings are secured to the
rear footrest mounting point between the casting and the
frame. Use an M8 x 22 x 3 flat washer between the front
mounting and the footrest casting, secure with the
original bolts. Leave loose.

Carefully lower the rear body and centralize the position
of the rear subframe and L-Brackets. Open the body
and tighten the rear mudguard mounting bolts. Remove
the L-Brackets and pillion footrest castings, leaving the
tightened subframe in place.

Refit the muffler and tail pipe assemblies. Replace
retaining springs and heat shields.

Refit the L-Brackets as per instructions #6. Fit Pack-
Rack or Sport-Rack into the L-Brackets (if necessary
use the additional M8 x 17 flat washers to adjust the
width at the rear mounting). Tighten all the mounting
bolts. Remove the Rack and close the rear body. The
clearance begtween the L-Bracket and the body inside
edge is minimal adjacent to the rear mounting. You
may wish to relieve the inner edge at this point to
avoid rubbing.

Close the body and refit the Rack. Tighten the L-
Bracket locking devices by following the procedure in
the General Instructions For Use.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The following instructions should be
strictly adhered to. Failure to do so may
result in an accident causing injury or
death.
Locking Device Tightening Instruction
For racks with formed indents on swaged ends

Ensure the knurled locking nut is wound fully back and
is in contact with the head of the locking device.

Tighten the locking devive firmly and securely by hand
making sure that it is centrally located in the indented
groove on the swaged legs of the rack.

Turning the knurled locknut clockwise, tighten firmly by
hand. Using the key tighten an extra 2mm (
of circumference travel.
For racks without indents
1
Ensure the knurled locking nut is wound fully back and
is in contact with the head of the locking device.

Tighten the locking device by hand until it comes into
positive and firm contact with the rack.

Using the key, tighten a further 1.125 (1

Turning the knurled locknut clockwise, tighten firmly by
hand. Using the key tighten an extra 2mm (
circumference travel.
BEFORE USE
All fasteners and components must be checked for tightness and
security before each ride.
RECOMMENDATION
Any surfaces that could possibly come in contact with the pack(s)
should be covered with protective material such as abrasion
resistant film, to prevent marking or damage to the surface finish.
RIDING SOLO
When riding solo always have the pack facing forward with the load
over the pillion seat.
RIDING WITH A PILLION PASSENGER
When riding with a pillion passenger the pack must be fitted facing
rearwards.
