Note: Reception distance is a ected by height of the
Remote Rain from the ground. Height of less than
2' will reduce the operating range of the remote.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Warning: This product is intended for outdoor, residential applications
only. Not intended for indoor or commercial use.
• Remove Remote Rain from the faucet during freezing weather and store
inside. Exposure to temperatures below 32°F (0°C) may damage the unit.
• Remote Rain should not be submerged in water.
• Check connections regularly for a tight seal.
• When storing, make sure the unit is completely empty of water and in a
frost-free environment only. Remove the batteries.
• Use 4 "AA" batteries only. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Do not mix
old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Install new batteries at the start of the watering season.
• No user serviceable parts inside product housing. Opening housing will void warranty.
Caution: Detach Remote Rain from faucet during freezing weather. Do not use with
water exceeding 100°F (38°C) or with pressures exceeding 100 psi (6.8 bars). For
pressures exceeding 100 psi (6.8 bars), consult a local plumber for pressure regulation.
Avoid excessive pulling or tugging on the hose as damage to the unit may result.

I. Operating Instructions—Battery Information
Insert batteries in receiver.
Note: Before every battery change, turn o the Remote Rain's
water supply at your outdoor faucet and then remove the
unit from the faucet.
Tip: Clean metal contacts with a clean cloth when replacing
batteries.
Insert 4 "AA" batteries as pictured inside receiver case.
Key fob battery (included and pre-installed).
The key fob runs on an A544 battery. With average use, this

II. Attaching Remote Rain Receiver to Faucet
Firmly attach the coupling nut on your Remote Rain to your faucet.
III. Attaching Hose to Remote Rain Receiver
Firmly attach your hose (with sprinkler or nozzle attached if desired) to the Remote
Rain receiver outlet.

Fully extend antenna on key fob.
Stand within 100' of Remote Rain receiver.

Safety Feature: Remote Rain will automatically shut water o after 3 hours of use. After
3 hours have elapsed, you may press the key fob "ON" button for 3 hours of additional
watering time.
VI. Changing Codes
Your Remote Rain has 4 settings (codes). It comes pre-set from the
Receiver
factory to match your key fob setting (similar to a garage door
opener remote).
If you experience interference with neighboring units, etc., you may
change the setting by adjusting the 2-position switch located under
the battery covers of the Remote Rain receiver and the key fob.
Adjust the receiver and key fob switches to the same position
(i.e. both up). See
re 1.

NELSON WARRANTY
Electronic products are warranted for two (2) years. In the event of such defects, Nelson
will repair or replace, at its option, the product or the defective part.
This warranty does not extend to damage to a Nelson product or part resulting from
accident, misuse, alteration, neglect, abuse, improper installation or normal wear and
tear to the exterior appearance and color. This warranty extends only to the original use
of the Nelson product. This warranty does not extend to cover losses su ered to plants,
animals, landscaping or increased water usage in the event of a timer defect or
malfunction.
If a defect arises in a Nelson product or part within the warranty period, contact your
Nelson Retailer, Distributor, or
Robert Bosch Tool Corporation.
Nelson may, at its option, require the product or part to be returned to a Nelson service
point or your retailer or distributor. Nelson will determine whether the claimed defect is
covered by the warranty.
If coverage is found, the product will be repaired or replaced. Please allow 4–6 weeks for
completion of repairs or replacement and return of the product or part. If a product or
part is replaced, the replacement is warranted only for the remainder of the original or
part warranty period.
This warranty gives you
legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary
