MAKING MEASUREMENTS WITH THE MULTIMETER

AC/DC VOLTAGES

1. Set the rotary switch in
position,press
the
function selection button to select AC voltage (
) or
DC voltage (
).
2. Insert the test leads into corresponding jacks (black
test lead into COM jack and red test lead
into
).
3. For DC voltage, the polarity will be displayed.
Positive pole of the voltage source with the positive
pole of the meter, the reading will be displayed only
with numbers. If reverse polarity the minus signal
appear on the left side of the display.

AC/DC CURRENTS

To avoid risk of personal injury or damage to meter:
1. Never try to make a measurement in direct current
when the voltage is higher than 1000 V.
2. Check the fuses before make the tests. (See
"CHANGE OF FUSES").
3. Connect the black test lead into COM jack and
the red test lead into 10A or µA/mA, according to
measurement range (if in doubt starts in 10A
position).
4. Set the rotary switch on current level to be
measured, press the function selection button to
select AC current (
) or DC (
).
5. Never put the test leads in paralell with a circuit
or component when using the current test.
6. Turn off the power circuit, open the circuit, put the
meter in series with the circuit, turn on the power of
