Troubleshooting
No sound
Check that the transmitters and receiver are both turned ON, and that the transmit-
ters are not set to MUTE. Verify that the 900AU receiver is plugged in to an AC supply
with the correct power adapter. Make sure Speakon cable is connected correctly at
both ends. Check that the transmitter batteries are correctly inserted, observing the
correct polarity, and that the battery terminals are making firm contact inside the
battery housing. Verify that the 900AU receiver is receiving signal (indicated by a
green LED). Check or replace transmitter microphone.
No FM Signal
Check that the transmitters and receiver module(s) are set to matching channels.
Make sure the two antennae are connected to back of the 900AU receiver. Check or
replace batteries. Check transmitter switch is set to ON position. Remove obstruc-
tions from line of transmission.
Dead Batteries
Ensure that the recommended NiMH rechargeable batteries are installed in the
transmitter, observing the correct polarity. Make sure the transmitter is making con-
tact in the pocket of the charging cradle, and that the charger is in turn connected to
the correct power adapter.
Weak Sound
Check and adjust volume setting. Adjust the microphone's position. Check or replace
microphone. Check that the correct power adapter is connected to the receiver.
Noise or Distortion
If using two transmitters, check that they are set to different channels. Check for pos-
sible sources of interference (e.g. nearby computers, other UHF FM systems). Check
the microphone and the integrity of microphone cord and plug. Clean microphone
plug pin with swabbing alcohol or other solvent to maintain noise-free connection.
Flashing Charging Cradle Light
The transmitter is refusing to charge. Ensure that the recommended NiMH recharge-
able batteries are installed in the transmitter, observing the correct polarity.
Feedback
Check and adjust volume settings. Ensure that the microphone is positioned correct-
ly. Avoid approaching too close to the speaker with the transmitter turned on.
Intermittency
Check the integrity of the microphone, its cord and its plug. Replace microphone if
necessary.
Cannot Unplug Speakon Cable
Make sure to disengage the Speakon "Quick Lock" by pulling down on it firmly until
you hear a click, before rotating the connector to remove the cable.
