Application
The KWI is an electric device used to urge animals to
move in animal holding concerns and abattoirs.
Function
The device uses batteries to generate a high voltage
pulse that is delivered by touching the animal with
the two movable electrodes.
Animal Welfare
Observe the national regulations that apply to
animal welfare and slaughtering regulations in your
country and within the EU at the time of slaughter
or killing.
Electrical prods may only be used on healthy,
uninjured cattle over 1 year old and on pigs over 4
months
old that are refusing to move. The current pulse may
only be applied to the muscles of the hind legs.

Safety Instructions

DANGER
Carefully read the following instructions
before using the device.
The device generates a high voltage pulse of
5000 V. Do not touch the electrodes.
Do not use the device on people.
Keep the device well away from children.
The device is always ready for use when the
batteries have been inserted. Even after the bat-
teries have been removed, the device can still
generate a high-voltage pulse.
Before cleaning the device, remove the
batteries.
Protect the device against moisture.

Battery Status

The battery voltage is sufficient for reliable operation
if a low-pitched hum is heard when animpulse is
triggered.
Changing Batteries
The battery compartment is closed by a screw cap.
1.
Unscrew the cap and pull it backwards to
remove it.
2.
Remove the old batteries and insert new ones
according to the printed diagram.
3.
Screw the cap on again.
The device is ready for use.
