NOTE: Use the following chart to determine what type of inspection is necessary. Frequent
Inspection (F) and Periodic Inspection (P).

Repairs
All repairs must have factory authorization. Contact OZ Lifting Products LLC® to prevent voiding of
the two-year limited warranty and potential damage. Perform recommended inspections to identify
which parts should be replaced. Only use OZ Lifting Products LLC® replacement parts. To order
replacement parts, contact your local OZ Lifting Products LLC® dealer. Please have the serial number,
part number and a description available when calling.
Troubleshooting Chart
Problem
Braking distance too long
Excess wear on gears or bearings
High pitched squeak
Grinding noise
Rattling noise
Boom turns on its own
Boom bounces
Contact OZ Lifting Products LLC® if disassembly of the crane is required. The warranty will be voided if this is
not done.
Check For
Damage, cracks, rust, chipping, dents excess wear, or corrosion.
Unusual sounds
Smooth load movements
Equipment properly lubricated
Signs of overloading (cracks, dents, or damage)
Proper function when operated with a load equal to the load rating
Good condition/supports the crane under all conditions
Level, no swerving of boom
Cracks, corrosion, damage (check by removing crane base from foundation)
Firmly installed
Properly tightened
Stripped threads, bent, or damage (check by removing crane from foundation)
Rotates freely in both directions
Possible Cause
Discs are worn,damaged, or over lubricated
Disc brake ratchet pawl damaged or worn
Overloaded
Improper lubrication
Improper lubrication
Poorly spooled cable, cable diving Into drum
Dirty brakes or gears
Broken gears or bearings
Loose bolts, screws, fasteners
