CHAP.5
5.1 START OR RESTART
To start or restart the operating cycle, the machine must be "READY" to start work.
The machine is in the "READY" status when all the alarm warning lights B-E-F-LM
(red) are off and the indicator light D (blue) is on.
Whenever the control panel indicates this status, the rack feed mechanism may be
started and consequently operation in the automatic mode by pressing the
"START" button C.
Having checked everything as instructed in chap.4 the appliance is ready to carry out the wash.
If the appliance is not fitted with an automatic dispenser, pour the detergent by hand into the wash tank.
Before starting the wash, it is necessary:
a) to remove any large amounts of left-over food and any oily masses from the dishes;
b) to soak the dishes first if a long time has elapsed between when they were used and washing;
c) to place the crockery into the relative racks in such a way that the dishes are facing the appliance exit
and that the trays are positioned parallel to the direction of movement of the flight;
d) to press the START button C in order to make the flight system start;
e) if the operator cannot remove the outcoming racks, for the appliance to be connected to a limit
switch, which stops its movement. To re-start work, it is sufficient to remove the rack from the limit
switch and press the START button C again.
5.2 RECOMMENDATIONS DURING THE WASH
a)it is advisable not to put bare hands into the water containing detergent, since this could cause
burns or skin irritation. Should this happen, immediately rinse the area with abundant water;
b) when the appliance is operating, do not open the doors too quickly;
c) only use specific anti-foam wash products for industrial dishwashers in the amounts recommended by
the manufacturer according to the hardness of the water;
d) periodically stop the appliance to remove the filters from the tanks and clean them of the waste
that is deposited there;
e) do not take out the pump suction filters when the tank is full;
f) if the flight system stops due to a safety device, before removing the obstaclet
that has caused the problem, stop the appliance using the emergency button I;
g) check that the water temperatures remain at the recommended values (See 4.1).
5.3 RECOMMENDATIONS AFTER THE WASH
a) press button B (STOP) and turn the selector A to the "zero" position to stop the appliance;
b) put the wall switch to off and close the water supply cock;
c) remove the filters and clean them;
d) remove the overflows to empty the tanks. Then wash the bottoms of the tanks using a jet of water
;
e) remove the pump suction filter and wash it with a jet of water;
f) remove and wash the spray guard curtain flaps;
g) if necessary, remove the wash pipes (by rotating them) and the rinse pipes (by unscrewing the
relative clamping screw) in order to clean them inside;
h) the exterior surfaces of the appliance should be cleaned with a damp sponge, without using jets of
water or abrasive or chlorinated detergents;
i) replace all the components, making sure that the spray guard curtain flaps have the short side
facing the inlet for the dishes;
l) to prevent the formation of unpleasant odours, it is advisable to leave the doors open.
