Storage: The provided packaging can be used as a storage box to protect the Taku when
it is not in use.
7. Warnings/ Safety
- Do not position fan near any objects that may be drawn into the blades and stop
the airflow.
- Make sure power cord is in good condition and not damaged.
- Do not use if power supply cord becomes frayed or brittle.
- Do not use gasoline, thinners or other harsh chemicals to clean fan.
- Do not operate fan without safety lanyards.
- Ensure supply voltage is stable between 11 and 14 volts DC.
- Do not force or over rotate fan head. The pivot does not rotate a complete 360°.
-When using exhaust mode ensure that there is a way for replacement air to enter the
boat (i.e. through companionway hatch or vents) in order to avoid any risk of drawing
fumes from the bilge into the cabin.

8. Troubleshooting

Problem
After installation fan blade
does not spin.
Suction cups will not
remain in place.
Possible Cause
Reversed polarity
Not enough voltage
Dirt on glass or suction cup
Worn, cracked or damaged
suction cups
Solution
Reverse the wires and
reconnect. See Section 3.
Ensure adequate 12 volts is
reaching the fan.
Remove fan, clean glass
and suction cups and
re-apply as per instructions
in Section 1.
