1.1

Proper and intended use

NOTE
This mounting-rail cutting and punching
device must only be used as described
in this operating manual. Any other form
of usage is not permitted and can lead
to accidents or destruction of the device.
Such improper usage will immediately
lead to the expiry of all guarantee and
warranty claims on the part of the opera-
tor against the manufacturer.
WARNING
The guarantee will considered null and
void, and permission to operate the ma-
chine will be withdrawn if its safety
equipment is removed or manipulated,
technical alterations are made or the
machine is used improperly.
1.2

Qualified staff

Those responsible for the safety of the machine
must ensure that:
• Only properly instructed and qualified personnel
are allowed to work on the machine.
• That the aforesaid personnel always have access
to the operating manual, and that they possess
and observe all other documentation relating to the
machine.
1.3

1.4

CE label

Machine guidelines apply if the cutting and punching
device is retrospectively fitted with a power-operated
drive mechanism (for example, hydraulic cylinders).
As a consequence, a declaration of conformity as
well as CE labelling would be required for the com-
plete device. In addition, all guarantee and warranty
claims are null and void.
1.5
Recycling in accordance
with WEEE
BtoB disposal
Dear Weidmüller Customer, purchasing our product
gives you the opportunity to return the device to
Weidmüller at the end of its service life.
The EU Directive 2002/ 96 EC
(WEEE) regulates the return and recy-
cling of waste electrical and electronics
equipment. In the Business-to-
Business sector (BtoB), manufacturers
of electrical equipment are obliged as
of 13/08/05 to take back and recycle free-of-charge
electrical equipment sold after that date. After that
date, electrical equipment must not be disposed
through the "normal waste disposal channels". Elec-
trical equipment must then be disposed of and recy-
cled separately.
All devices that fall under the directive must feature
this logo.
What we can do for you?
Weidmüller offers you the possibility of returning
your old device to us at no extra charge. Weidmüller
will then professionally recycle and dispose of your
device in accordance with the actual laws.
What do you have to do?
Once your device has reached the end of its life cy-
cle, simply return it (in the carton) to the Weidmüller
sales agent responsible for you. We will then take
care of all recycling and waste disposal measures.
You will incur no costs or suffer any inconvenience.
