RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ADJUSTING THE TEMPERATURE AND IMPLEMENTING
PRINCIPLES OF FOOD HYGIENE.
Proper use of the refrigerator and respect for hygienic principles will significantly improve
the quality of food preservation.
Temperature Control
Place the most delicate foods in the coldest part of the refrigerator, generally right above
the fruit and vegetable crisper.
Cooked foods should be left to cool, then stored in air-tight containers and placed in the
middle of the refrigerator.
Fruits and vegetables are placed in the crisper drawers at the bottom of the refrigerator.
Implementing Food Hygiene Principles
Remove wrapping before placing food in the refrigerator.
Packaging fresh food helps them last longer and keeps them from contaminating one
another.
Place foods in such a way that air can circulate freely inside the refrigerator.
Clean the inside of the refrigerator frequently using lukewarm water into which has been
dissolved one or two spoonfuls of bicarbonate of soda.
