6. CLEANING AND STORAGE
Let the appliance cool completely and unplug it before cleaning.
• Use a sponge with soapy water to clean the outside of the oven, then
dry carefully.
• To clean the inside, use a damp cloth and a little soft soap. Do not use
abrasive sponges or products that could damage the coating.
• The roasting pan, the rack and the drip pan are machine washable. If
there is a heavy accumulation of food spills on either, soak in warm,
soapy water and use a sponge or a nylon brush.
• For easier storage, the cord can be wound up on the cord storage on
the back of the appliance. Never wind the cord around the oven.
• Cleaning the appliance regularly prevents heavy accumulation of food
spills. The oven remains easy to clean and continues to operate
properly.
7. SAFETY CAUTIONS
• To avoid any risk of the appliance overheating, never cover the
roasting pan, the rack, the drip pan or the removable crumb tray with
aluminium foil.
• Use oven or protective gloves.
• Never touch the sides on the inside of the oven when it is in use because
they become hot.
• Never put the appliance on or near a heating appliance.
• Always use oven-proof dishes.

• Do not try to pull out food that is stuck behind the elements when the
appliance is plugged in.
• Do not use the oven on heat-sensitive surfaces or near inflammable
materials.
• Leave sufficient space between the oven and the walls or furniture. Do
not place the oven beneath wall units in the kitchen.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the counter or work surface,
and do not let it come in contact with hot surfaces.
• Be particularly careful if the appliance is being used when children are
present. Store out of the reach of children. Do not let children use the
oven.
• Do not use the appliance if it has fallen or if it appears to be damaged.
• Stop using the machine immediately if the cord is damaged and have it
replaced by a professional.
• Do not try to repair the appliance.
• Use of any accessories not recommended or sold by Cuisinart® may
result in fire, electrocution and risk of injury.
• This appliance meets the basic requirements of Directives 89/336/EEC
(electromagnetic compatibility) and 73/23/EEC (safety of domestic
electrical equipment), as amended by Directive 93/68/EEC (CE
marking).
