My ISP requires me to use a specific MAC address for the
device that connects to my modem.
S o l u t i o n :
Your ISP may require you to change the router's MAC address to match a spe-
cific MAC address, such as the address of the Ethernet adapter that was previ-
ously connected to the DSL or Cable modem. If you need the router to clone a
MAC address:
1. Complete the installation instructions in this guide.
2. When you are returned to the configuration pages after the initial configura-
tion, click the Internet tab.
3. Under Clone MAC address, use the Client devices list to select the MAC
address that should be applied to the router.
4. When you are finished, click Save. The router will restart and you should
then have an Internet connection.
