COMPLYNG WITH UNI-CEI 70028 STANDARD
VERY IMPORTANT!
Please read carefully the following instructions in order to get the best
performance out of the gas detector. The installer must give this brochure
to the user and ask him to take note of its contents to ensure a correct
use of the device. The gas detector is an auxiliary protection to be added
to the other available outdoor protection devices. However it is neces-
sary to follow the instructions with the greatest care.

I
Gas detectors are high-technology devices in which the presence of cer-
tain combustible gases triggers an alarm. We recommend to refer to
authorized techniciens for their installation, for routine and special
maintenance and for their diasassemblig after 5 years.
The detectors are designed to trigger the alarm off when gas concentra-
tion reaches a point of between 5% and 15% of the lowest explosion
limit. The operating conditions are at room temperature of between -5°C
and +35°C and a maximum relative humidity of 85%.
The detection threshold may vary in practice but will not exceed a point
of 20% of the lowest explosive limit in five years of use.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF OPERATIONS
When the concentration of gas in the air exceeds the threshold, the
detector starts woking switching on the RED LED on the front of the
appliance and triggering the built-in acoustic alarm.
The detector can set off a second siren located in a different room.
When the concentration of gas falls below the detection threshold the
gas detector's alarm switches itself off.
The solenoid valve has to be reset manually. Please read the following
paragraph for information on first installations and activation after prolon-
ged inactivity.
OPERATING DESCRIPTION
The front part of the device is pierced to facilitate contact between the
gas to be detected and the semiconductor.
Three LEDs and a pushbutton on the front of the device allow the opera-
tion of the gas detector to be monitored in the following way:
