User Manual Baby Insert
This manual is additional to the Hamax Outback Multifunctional Child Carrier user manual. Please read the instructions carefully
before assembling or using the baby insert. We wish you and your children many enjoyable trips!

WARNINGS
!
• Important – Keep these instructions for future reference.
• This product complies with the US standard for strollers (ASTM F833).
• Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the restraint system.
• Check that the seat unit is correctly engaged before use.
• This product is compatible with the Hamax Outback and the Hamax Outback One produced after
October 2016.*
• This product is suitable for use in the Hamax Outback in strolling mode only. Do not cycle with the
baby insert installed.
Please check the main user manual of the Hamax Outback for general warnings regarding safe use of this product.
* Check the production date sticker on the bottom of the trailer to verify if this applies to your trailer. The DOM code represents
the year and month of production.
GETTING STARTED - INSTALLATION
[1] Packaging content & required tools
• Baby seat (1x) [a]
• Backrest frame (1x) [b]
• User manual Hamax Outback Baby Insert (1x)
[2] Preparing the baby insert
• First time use only: press the buttons on the backrest frame and insert in the baby seat [a]. Keep pushing down until the
buttons click into place.
[3] Preparing the trailer
• Release the 5-point harness.
• Pull the shoulder straps down to the lowest position.
• Detach both shoulder straps [a]. Make sure not to lose the shoulder strap buckles while the straps are detached [b].
• Pull the crotch strap through the hole in the seat padding [c]. Fold back the seat padding to expose the trailer seat.
[4] Installing the baby insert
• Place the baby insert over the trailer seat. Make sure the crotch strap of the trailer goes under the cross tube of the baby
insert [a]. If the crotch strap does not extend beyond the cross tube, elongate the crotch strap first.
• Place the shoulder padding over the cross strap of the baby insert [b]. Connect the shoulder strap buckles and insert in the
center buckle on the crotch strap [c]. Reattach the shoulder straps [d].
• Tighten the shoulder straps as much as possible to fixate the baby insert on the trailer seat [e].
• Attach the backrest of the baby seat to the backrest frame using the push buttons on both sides and at the top [f].

USE
[5] Using the 5-point safety harness
• Guide the arms through the opening between the shoulder and waist belt. Check that the shoulder straps are aligned with your
child' s shoulders.
• Connect the shoulder strap buckles and insert in the center buckle on the crotch strap.
• Reduce the length of the crotch strap and shoulder straps so that your child is securely tightened. Verify that the safety
harness is locked by pulling on both shoulder belts.
[6] Adjusting the shoulder strap height
• Push the strap lock through the slots in the dark grey base seat and the light grey top layer [a].
• Push the strap lock back through the slots at the desired shoulder height. Make sure it goes through the top layer and the base
seat. Verify that the strap is securely fastened by pulling on the strap.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
The top layer, shoulder paddings and head rest can be removed from the base seat for cleaning purposes. Wash by hand or use
cold machine wash with a short spin cycle.
WARRANTY
The Hamax Outback Baby Insert is warranted from the date of purchase. The warranty period depends on the law of the country
in question. The warranty applies to defects in materials or workmanship, and does not cover damage due to improper use, lack
of maintenance, failure to follow the user manual, use of force or normal wear and tear. The warranty is valid for the original
user only. Please read the use and maintenance recommendations carefully. Conditions that may cause premature wear of this
product may not be covered by the warranty. Should this product require service or you want to make a warranty claim, please
contact your local dealer from whom you purchased it.
