Initial operation and system check
1. Reconnect the battery, Fig. 11.
2. Restore perfect functioning of the
electrical system (clock, trip computer,
alarm system, airbag, immobiliser, radio
coding etc.).
3. Switch on the ACC/accessory contact on
the ignition lock.
4. If you have not yet done so, load the
current , system software version on your
navigation system. The operating software
installed on the system must support CI
3000 connection (from version MO 5595 /
CCI 5545 upwards).
5. Connection of the CI 3000 is automatically
recognised by the navigation system. For
further information on operation, please
refer to the navigation system operating
instructions.
6. Make a test call in order to check
operation of the CI 3000.
Software update for the CI 3000
The CI 3000 is equipped with drivers for
numerous hands-free units and mobile
phones. It is possible to update the operating
software for the CI 3000 via a download in
order to e.g. use new mobile phones.

units and mobile phones can be obtained from

Checking the vehicle functions
A
Check the safety-relevant vehicle functions
only when the vehicle is stationary, or moving at
low speed. Only perform the check in an open area.
Brake system, alarm system, lighting system,
immobiliser, speedometer, trip computer,
radio (coding) and hi-fi system, clock.
