CLEANING AND CARE
General
CAUTION
Risk of burns! Switch off the heater before cleaning and
maintenance, disconnect the plug and let it cool down
completely to avoid burns.
•
The cleaning interval depends on the pellet quality and the average heat
output.
•
Moist or apparently intensive pellets and sawdust granulates can
signifi cantly increase the normal cleaning interval. Therefore, always use
high-quality pellets.
Ash Disposal
The wood pellets contain not only carbon and hydrogen, but also the mineral
components. This non-combustible material, which remains in the stove, is the
ash. These natural residues can be disposed of as waste or used as fertilizer.
•
Do not dispose of hot ash in the garbage as the remaining heat can ignite
the garbage. Remove the ash from the oven, extinguish with water and
wait a moment before disposing of it.
•
Transport the ashes to the metal ash pans or small boxes.
•
Check the ash container every 2-3 days and remove any residue once it
has cooled down.
•
If you are using an ash extractor, wait until the ash has completely cooled
down.
