6. Check before use

1. Check that the rolling tower is horizontal (check using a spirit level).
2. Check that the rolling tower is assembled in accordance with this manual and in conformity with the configuration and ballast table.
3. Check that the environmental factors, such as swinging doors, awnings that operate automatically, aboveground electrical cables, traffic
and/or passers-by, etc., do not lead to dangerous situations.
4. Check that the rolling tower can be used safely and that it is suitable for the intended purpose.
7. Assembling the RS TOWER 53-S
Mount the parts according to the steps shown in Annexes T3 and T4. Attach all connections as shown in Annex T2. See the table below for
the references to the annexes that include the configuration table and the composition per type of rolling tower.

Configuration

RS TOWER 53-S
A
1. Start with a 7-rung frame (part B) and a walkthrough frame (part C).
2. Put the wheels into the frames, put the brakes on and put them in an outward direction [T2 fig. F1 - F3].
3. Mount horizontal braces (part H) under the 1st rung on the upright [T2: fig. F4 - F5].
4. Mount the Safe-Quick® Guardrail(s) (part G) on the sixth rung with the instruction label facing the inside [T2 fig F14 - F18].
5. Mount the step stirrup.(part O)
6. Mount a temporary platform (part E) onto the 1st rung [F20 – F22].
7. Adjust the base section using a spirit level.
8. Mount the triangle stabilisers (part J) [T2 fig. F9 - F13].

9. Stand on the platform, place the 4-rung frames (part A) and lock them [F6 – F8].
10. At the outside, place the Safe-Quick® Guardrail (part G) on the top rung of the frame, which was the last frame mounted, with the
instruction label facing the inside [F14 – F18].
11. Hang a Safe-Quick® Guardrail (part F) from the centre of the top rung of the frame, which was the last frame mounted, with the
instruction label facing the inside [F14 – F18].
12. Mount two guardrail braces stepladder (part L) from the bottom upwards [F23 – F25].
13. Mount a platform with trapdoor (part E [F19 – F22].
14. Place the rolling-tower ladder.
15. Enter the platform via the trapdoor.
16. Mount a temporary brace behind the centre Safe-Quick® Guardrail.

17. Place the 7-rung frames (part B) and lock them [T2: fig. F6 - F8].
18. At the outside, place the Safe-Quick® Guardrail (part F) on the top rung of the frame, which was the last frame mounted, with the
instruction label facing the inside [F14 – F18].
19. Remove the Safe-Quick® Guardrail (part F) mentioned in Step 11 and hang it from the centre of the top rung of the frame, which was
the last frame mounted, with the instruction label facing the inside [F14 – F18].
20. Mount two guardrail braces stepladder (part L) from the bottom upwards [F23 – F25]
21. Mount a platform with trapdoor (part E [F19 – F22].
22. Place the rolling-tower ladder. (part M)
23. Enter the platform via the trapdoor.
24. Remove the horizontal brace mentioned in Step 16 and mount it behind the centre Safe-Quick® Guardrail.
Repeat Steps 17 through 24 until you achieve the required working height.

25. Remove the centre Safe-Quick® Guardrail.
26. Mount the set of toe boards (part K).
27. Remove the horizontal brace (part H) mentioned in Step 24 and mount it under the top rung onto the upright.
28. Mount the void protection guardrail (part N).
