7.
Check that the connection is protected against reverse polarity:
»
In the case of positive generator grounding, the electrical resistance between DC+ and the PE
connection on the AC line must not exceed 10 Ohm. Check the resistance using a multimeter
(with the solar inverter deenergised).
»
In the case of negative generator grounding, the electrical resistance between DC- and the PE
connection on the AC line must not exceed 10 Ohm. Check the resistance using a multimeter
(with the solar inverter deenergised).
8.
Next, affix the warning stickers in 5 languages included in the scope of delivery to the solar inverter's
housing cover, underneath the display.
9.
Restart the solar inverter and check that the display and the LED indicators are signalling correct operation
(for details see the corresponding chapter in the operation and installation manual of your solar inverter).
10. Once the installation of the SOLIVIA grounding kit on the solar inverter is completed, the grounding of the
DC input needs to be set accordingly in the Setup menu so that the solar inverter will be able to correctly
detect and display a potential undesirable earth fault (for details see the corresponding chapter in the
operation and installation manual of your solar inverter).
11. Attention: If the SOLIVIA grounding kit is not installed under strict compliance with these instructions, the
guarantee for the Delta solar inverter will be invalidated.
12. Attention: Connecting the SOLIVIA grounding kit incorrectly can lead to short circuits and cause
irreparable damage to the SOLIVIA grounding kit and the solar inverter.

Replacement
All installation work is to be carried out by a licensed electrician.
Should an undesirable earth fault occur causing the fuse located inside the SOLIVIA grounding kit to blow, the
solar inverter will indicate this error on the display and by the red LED lighting up with a corres-ponding error
message.
LED STATUS
green: <on/flashes>
red: <on>
yellow: <off>
If the red LED on the solar inverter lights up steady once the SOLIVIA grounding kit has been installed, there is
an undesirable earth fault on the PV generator. The PV installation or the solar inverter should be taken out of
operation so that the cause of the earth fault can be detected and corrected.
The SOLIVIA grounding kit will need to be replaced with a new SOLIVIA grounding kit with an intact fuse.
