(1) Tools needed
• 2mm & 6mm drill bit (the 6mm drill bit may need to be a
masonry bit)
• Philips screw driver
• Power drill
(2) Before Installation
Before continuing any further with the installation of this fire please read the following:
• One person should be sufficient to lift the fire.
• When lifting always keep your back straight. Bend your legs and not your back.
• Avoid twisting at the waist. It is better to reposition your feet.
• Avoid upper body / top heavy bending.
• Always bend from the knees rather than the waist. Do not lean forward or sideways whilst handling the fire.
• Always grip with the palm of your hand. Do not use the tips of fingers for support.
• Always keep the product as close to the body as possible to prevent unnecessary and undue strain on the body.
• Use gloves to provide additional grip. Always use assistance if required.
(3) Unpacking the Product
The unit is supplied in a single package carton. Carefully unpack the product using the following procedure:
1. Ensure that the product is in the correct position with the carton wording legible.
2. Remove the straps and sleeve.
3. Carefully lift the fireplace out of the box.
4. Remove the protective packaging and bag from the suite.
5. Locate the fixing pack and pebble pack and put aside.
6. Carefully remove the protective film covering the fire.
(4) Hints on Installation
IMPORTANT: This surround is only suitable for use with electric fires!
• This surround is floor-standing and must be fixed to a wall. Please ensure both the wall and floor are flat before
installation, and there is 77cm x 25cm space for installation. Always ensure there is enough room to place it.
• Please ensure that there is an accessible electrical socket within the space for installation. The electrical
socket must not be behind or above the suite.
• WARNING! Ensure supply cord is located correctly within the notches and cannot be trapped when the
surround is fitted to the wall.
• Route the supply cord through the notch at the back of the suite.
• Route the supply cord through the side the suite as shown. There will be a notch located at each side of the
suite. Use the notch nearest to the electrical socket.
