Problem
Red and green LEDs do not illuminate to indicate the battery
is correctly charging
Battery pack has low capacity
Multi-Tool does not start when On/Off Switch (3) is operated
Blade not cutting correctly
Sanding sheets come loose from sanding pad during use
Unknown mechanical noise
Burning smell or other abnormal operation
Possible cause
Battery not correctly connected to charger
Charger not powered
Battery not being fully charged
Battery pack has been charged over 100 times and capacity
has started to reduce
Battery completely discharged
Defective battery
Tool defective
Speed setting too low
Material may not be suitable for the blade installed
Material not suitable for tool
Blade may be worn
Speed set too high
Too much downward pressure during use
Hook and loop surface of sanding pad worn out
Accessory not securely fitted
Tool fault
Tool defective

Solution
Clean battery socket of charger and battery contacts and
fully slide on to charger so it clicks in a locked position
Recheck mains connection
Do not remove battery until a full charge is indicated
This is normal for battery packs. Contact your GMC dealer to
purchase a replacement battery pack
Recharge battery or replace with a fully charged battery
Replace battery
Contact your GMC dealer or authorised service centre
Increase speed
Change blade
For some materials, including hardened metals, compatible
blades are unavailable. Revert to alternative methods of
cutting
Replace blade
Reduce speed
Reduce hand pressure
Replace sanding pad
Check blade or other accessory is securely tightened
Stop using the tool and return it to an authorised GMC
service centre for repair
Contact your GMC dealer or authorised service centre
