3- Operation

The Power Supplies are designed according to the regulations EN54-4 to provide
auxiliary power to the fire control systems.
The Power Supplies are designed to operate at 230V and 50/60Hz.
The two power supplies consist of a power module of 65W and 150W power for power
supplies of 2.5 and 5A, respectively, and an electronic control circuit that monitors
power supplies..
The Power supply has a fault relay that allows us to control it from a remote computer.
With the power supply in normal state, i.e. powered from the electrical network, and
without any fault, the relay is energized. If there is any type of failure, the relay is turned
off immediately, sending the signal to the remote computer.
In the presence of a 220 Vac power loss from electrical network, lower than two
minutes, the fault relay is not disabled to prevent wrong faults due to intermittent
electrical network cuts.
The operation of fault relay is as follows.
Power supply working properly, normal state.
Between C and NA ------- Open circuit.
Betnween C and NC-------- Closed circuit.
Power supply stopped (without power) or indicating fault.
Between C and NA ------- Closed circuit.
Between C and NC-------- Open circuit.
At the top center of the electronic circuit there is a small test button, clicking the button
that will perform a test of all the LEDs and the battery status.
It is imperative that once installed the power supply, press this button, if the batteries
cannot supply the required current, the fault LED battery status lights.
The power supply will automatically perform this test every 24 hours, and if the battery
is normal, fault indication will disappear.
