Additional Features
The system will warn you that it has been
triggered into the alarm mode during your
absence in the following ways:
1. The Extension LED will flash twice per
second while the system is armed after it
has been tripped.
2. The system will chirp the siren and flash
the parking lights three times when the
system is disarmed.
Note:
Flashing lights may be optional. Consult
your Alpine dealer for more information.
If the system is in the Automatic (Passive)
Arming mode and a door or trunk is opened
during the 10 second exit delay time, the
timer will reset itself and restart the count
down procedure when the opened door or
trunk is closed.
Note:
Trunk input wiring may be optional. Consult
your Alpine dealer for more information.
If the SEC-8028 detects a faulty sensor
input when it is armed, it will chirp the siren
three times to warn you of this abnormality.
This three chirp warning will occur 45
seconds after arming if the door input is
malfunctioning or six seconds after arming
if any other sensor is malfunctioning. After
this three chirp warning, the system will
ignore that sensor input. However, if that
sensor ever restores to a normal state, the
system will immediately resume monitoring
that sensor input.
The dual stage impact sensor offers two
types of warning to potential thieves. If a
light impact from tampering is detected on
the vehicle, the system will issue a short
warning chirp. If a heavy impact is detected,
the system will be triggered immediately.
