Congratulations on your purchase of the Alpine SEC-8028 Mobile Security System.
The SEC-8028 incorporates the latest in Alpine technology and design.
Please read this manual carefully before using your SEC-8028 Mobile Security
System. The SEC-8028 consists of two major components: a remote control
transmitter and a main unit.
The modern four-button remote control transmitter (part number SEC-8428) allows
you to turn your system on and off from outside the vehicle while simultaneously
locking and unlocking the doors. In addition, certain functions, such as an electronic
trunk release, can be activated from the remote location. The remote control
transmitter offers the ultimate in security and convenience.
The main unit, usually mounted under the seat or under the dash, is the "brain" of
the system. It interfaces directly with different sensors and components in your
vehicle to provide optimum security and convenience.
NOTE:
Door locks and trunk release may be optional. Consult your Alpine dealer for more
information.
Proper wire connections and component placement are essential for
optimum system performance. Due to the expertise and time required to
properly install an Alpine Mobile Security System, it is highly recommended
that the installation be performed by an authorized Alpine dealer.
