Troubleshooting:

PROBLEM
CAUSE
3M™ PPS™
1. 3M™ PPS™ SUN GUN™
SUN GUN™ Light
Battery Pack is not connected
will not turn on.

CORRECTION
1. Disconnect then reconnect the
3M™ PPS™ SUN GUN™ Battery
Pack. Wait 1 second before turning
on light.
2. Replace the bulb.
3. Let the 3M™ PPS™ SUN
GUN™ Light cool down. (NOTE:
You will be able to turn on the 3M™
PPS™ SUN GUN™ Light when
the fan stops running).
4. Charge the 3M™ PPS™ SUN
GUN™ Battery Pack.
5. Release trigger and wait 1
second before attempting to turn on
the 3M™ PPS™ SUN GUN™
Light.
6. Replace the 3M™ PPS™ SUN
GUN™ Battery Pack.
7. Return the 3M™ PPS™ SUN
GUN™ to service center.
1. Allow the 3M™ PPS™ SUN
GUN™ Light to cool down. (Once
fan operation ceases the unit
becomes operational). Note: The
3M™ PPS™ SUN GUN™ Light
has internal electronics that will
shut it off when it becomes too hot.

CORRECTION
1. It is normal for the fan to
continue to run after the 3M™
PPS™ SUN GUN™ Light is shut-
off to allow for additional cooling.
1. Re-insert the3M™ PPS™ SUN
GUN™ Battery Pack into the 3M™
PPS™ SUN GUN™ Charger.
2. The 3M™ PPS™ SUN GUN™
Charger will detect a hot battery
pack, and will charge the battery at
a slower rate. When the 3M™
PPS™ SUN GUN™ Battery Pack
cools, charging will resume at a
normal rate and the red light will
illuminate.
3. Charge the 3M™ PPS™ SUN
GUN™ Battery Pack. Note: The
lights will blink for a time, then
eventually turn red. If after several
hours, light does not turn red, this
indicates the battery pack is faulty.
Replace the battery pack.
4. Insert a different 3M™ PPS™
SUN GUN™ Battery Pack into the
3M™ PPS™ SUN GUN™
Charger. If the new battery charges
correctly, then the original pack is
defective and should be returned to
a service center for recycling.
5. If a new battery pack produces
the same error, have the charger
tested at an authorized service
center.
1. Replace the3M™ PPS™ SUN
GUN™ Battery Pack. If the light
stays red, replace the 3M™ PPS™
SUN GUN™ Charger.
2. Replace the 3M™ PPS™ SUN
GUN™ Battery Pack.
