What not to do
− Do not operate the unit if persons are in the water.
− Do not shorten the connection line.
− Do not remove the ground cable or the ground contact.
− Do not carry or pull the unit by the connection cable.
− Do not try to open the unit.
− Never remove labels from the unit or connection cable.
− Avoid crushing and bending of or damage to the connection cable. A small cut, even only in the outer
jacket, could be sufficient for the ingress of water into the cable. If you detect damage, put the unit out
of operation immediately and take it out of the water. Consult your OASE dealer about how to proceed
further. Bear in mind that every damage to the connection cable implies a serious risk of electrocution.
Any guarantee or warranty will immediately become null and void, if you continue to operate the unit.
Important safety information
Please read these instructions carefully prior to starting up the unit!
The water system on which the operation of this product is based requires utmost care and maintenance, possibly also
the use of chemicals, in order to prevent and keep the occurrence of micro-organisms and harmful bacteria, especially
legionellae that are responsible for legionnaire's disease, under control. Non-observance of this information about
correct maintenance and care can entail the spreading of harmful bacteria. Due to the fact that for decorative pur-
poses, water nozzles distribute water in the air, water droplets containing harmful bacteria can enter your lungs and
cause life-threatening diseases.
It is the responsibility of the owner of the water system and its attendant units to ensure their maintenance and care in
compliance with the laws, directives and instructions laid down for this purpose. In order to avert harmful contamina-
tion, we urgently recommend the user to ensure cleaning and care of the water system and the water feature including
the nozzle, and to take all necessary measures to maintain the technical units, such as pumps, hoses, tubes, cable
clamp connectors, under-water lighting and nozzles to keep them in functional order in line with safety aspects. How-
ever, the maintenance and care obligation is not limited to the technical products supplied, but encompasses the entire
system.
We also recommend the owner to keep records of the dates when maintenance and care was carried out, and to
document all water tests made in conjunction with the water feature.
The owner is solely responsible for guaranteeing the safety of the water feature. Use or maintenance of the units sold
and the system are beyond OASE'S influence. OASE can only be held liable for manufacturing faults of OASE units.
Installation
The unit is supplied completely fitted. Bolt the unit to the ground to ensure firm seating. Position the unit such that it
does not present a hazard for anybody. When locating outside of the water, keep a minimum safety distance of 30 cm
from combustible material.
On the secondary side, connect the transformer using (see accessories) with the OASE spotlight Profilux LED, Lu-
naqua 10 LED and Halogen. Remove the blind cap for each of the plug connections to be assigned. Refit the remain-
ing blind covers to the transformer. Plug the cable sets to the free connection points. Tighten the connection screws.
Connect the cable ends to the spotlight. Connect the transformer to the mains, then check the spotlight function.
Please refer to the sketch if you want to use existing older sets of cables or spotlights of the Lunaqua 10 series.
Adhere to the operating instructions given for the spotlight and the cable set. Attention: The installed lamp capacity
must not exceed the transformer rating indicated on the type plate.
