LE-C32 Series
Handling Instructions
Please read these instructions carefully before opening the chip packaging.
Introduction
This microfluidics chip is a disposable chip for the Sony Cell Sorter.
It is for research use only, not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Refer to the Cell Sorter Operator's Guide for instructions about using the chip in the Cell Sorter
and supported software versions.

Safety Precautions

Do not bend, twist, or otherwise subject the chip to any physical stress.
The sorting chip is a disposable component, designed for single use only. Maximum time is for
24 hour period.
Allow the temperature of the chip to equilibrate to room temperature for 30 minutes before
use when transporting the chip between different temperature environments to avoid the
effects of condensation on measurement results.
Keep the chip away from moisture and dust.
Keep the chip away from chlorinated solvents, aromatic solvents, non-polar organic solvents,
gasoline, and oils to prevent damage to the inner and outer surfaces of the chip.
Keep the chip away from naked flames to prevent combustion of the chip.
Keep the chip away from heat sources to prevent thermal deformation and rupture of the chip
(with consequent leakage of fluid). The chip material is susceptible to heat damage with use at
temperatures over 55°C (131°F).
Do not touch the chip near the optical detection point (4 in the figure). Scratches, stains, or
smudges near the optical detection point will adversely impact measurement results.
Biological Hazards
Always wear protective equipment and clothing, such as gloves and goggles, when working
with samples that have the potential to cause infection, biofilm fouling, or environmental
pollution.
Always dispose of used product that come into contact with biological hazards in accordance
with local and federal laws, ordinances, and regulations.
Storage
Keep the chip away from sunlight.
Recommended storage temperature range: 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F)
