Introduction
Thank you for selecting the Atlantic Formal Spillway Basin Kit. Before using this Kit please take
a moment to review this manual. This Kit contains everything you need to power and plumb
an Atlantic Formal Spillways.
Installation
Begin by preparing the subgrade where the basin and block will sit. The surface should be
level and compacted to block manufacturers' specifications to avoid future settling. Because
it will be easier to plumb the basin before setting block around it, we recommend plumbing
the basin first.
Start by installing the Auto Fill valve (if desired) at the drill
point marked on the outside wall of the pump chamber
and install according to the included manual. Connect
your water supply hose to the Auto Fill. You will run the Auto
Fill hose through the plumbing channel on the bottom of
the basin to the right of the pump chamber.
Cut a 61/ 2 " piece of the included Flexible PVC, then feed the
rest of the 11/ 2 " Flexible PVC into the left side plumbing
channel below the bulkhead fitting. Double check the
bulkhead fitting is tight and note the bulkhead fitting has
reverse threads. Install the single union valve on the inside
of the chamber.
Thread the male adapter onto the pump, then glue the male adapter to the Street 90 using
the included PVC glue. Then glue the pipe stub between the Street 90 and the valve.
In the plumbing recess outside the pump chamber, install the 11/ 2 " threaded Street 90 to the
bulkhead fitting with included thread seal tape. Glue the 61/ 2 " piece of Flexible PVC to the
threaded Street 90. Glue the 1 1/ 2 " Soc x Soc 90 to the end of the Flexible PVC under the basin,
then glue the elbow to the 61/ 2 " piece of Flexible PVC. The other end of the Flexible PVC will be
attached to the spillway to complete the installation after the wall is built.
