7.2
Assembly of PE cover
Other than when the tank is being worked on, the PE cover
must be locked with the childproof lock at all times.
Working from below, guide the three impact sleeves into the
holes in the telescopic top piece and working from above screw
the screws in 5 – 6 turns to hold tight. Hammer in the sleeves.
Then fit the cover and screw down to keep children out. The
washer prevents the screw from cutting into the cover material.
7.3
Assembly of telescopic dome shaft as intermediate piece
If another dome shaft is used in cases with greater earth cover to act as
intermediate piece, the dome shaft gasket is placed in the groove of the tank neck
shaft
loosely attached. The shaft extension attains its final stability when the trench is filled in and
compacted without it requiring extra support.
The maximum usable length per shaft extension or intermediate piece is 406 mm. The dome shaft can be
shortened from above in 9 places, shortening by 50 mm in each case (see sketch).
The maximum permissible earth cover height when using a second telescopic dome shaft as an
intermediate piece or extension is 1000 mm above the tank shoulder (only in green area - not under
surfaces driven on by vehicles).
