Preparation for use as a grass trimmer
Unscrew all the parts from the spindle.
Attach the inner � ange (17) to the spindle's
thread.
Block the spindle using the Allen key (28).
Screw the trimmer head (19) anticlockwise
onto the spindle. Note: Left thread!
Any parts not � tted must be stored in a safe
place.

Fitting the carrying strap

Put the carrying strap (9) on and adjust the
length of it so that the snap hook is around a
hand width below your right hip.
Hook the snap hook (b) securely to the eye
(2) on the machine.
In the event of an emergency, you can pull
on the safety release (c) on the carrying strap
to loosen the machine from the carrying
strap, causing the machine to fall to the
ground and stop. This must only be used in
absolute emergencies, as it may damage the
machine!
