Checking the anodes

The appliance is protected from corrosion with a coating of porcelain glass on the inner surface and the heat exchangers.
The heat exchanger is also fitted with a magnesium or electronic anticorrosion anode for protection against the harmful effects of eddy current. Its
duration depends on the length of operation and the water hardness.
The anode should be inspected at least once a year and replaced if necessary.
The flange must be dismantled to be controlled and/or replaced. In order to dismantle the flange it is necessary to close the cold water inlet,
discharge the pressure by opening a hot water tap and unload the water tank through the drainage tap installed on the system.
After inspection/replacement, check carefully for leaks.
Only original spares must be used.
10.

CATHODIC PROTECTION SYSTEM WITH IMPRESSED CURRENT (WHPS BA 1500 -2000)

The anode is made up of a titanium rod, which has one end treated with an electro-chemical activation process. The cathodic protection against
corrosion is obtained by ensuring the electrolyte potential by means of continuous impressed current produced by the electronic anode.
The maintenance of the potential is guaranteed by constant measurement of the potential difference between the cylinder and titanium anode.
The correct polarity of the cables must be complied with during installation. The wire that ends with the Fast-on contact
(positive polarity) must be connected to the anode, the one that ends with the loop (negative polarity) must be connected to the
tank earth.
