Special safety directions

Sparks can be generated when sanding
metal surfaces. Avoid using in � ammable
surroundings and in vicinity of � ammable
materials and � uids.
Do not use on alloys with magnesium
content of 80% or above as they are
� ammable.
Keep the cord well clear of the working area.
Hold grinder tightly, especially when starting.
Vibration can occur due to motor torque
when starting.
Wear safety goggles when drilling.
Never hold item to be worked in your hand.
Clamp securely in a vise or similar.
Keep hands and � ngers at a safe distance
from rotating tools.
Use appliances approved for grinder's
minimum and maximum speeds only.
Use only accessories supplied or approved by
the manufacturer.
Do not use drill bits with damaged necks.
Never touch the spindle lock while appliance
is in use!
Check that item does not contain nails,
screws or other objects that may damage
rotating tools.
Allow grinder to achieve full speed before
applying to the item. Never start grinder
while tool is in contact with item.
Do not lie grinder on its side before it has
completely stopped.
Never put grinder down with on/off switch
facing downwards.
Tools and bushes get very hot when in use.
Avoid touching before they have cooled off .
Never drill or cut walls where there may be
electrical cables! If drilling or cutting in such
areas, switch building mains supply off and
only touch plastic parts of grinder.
Fitting tools
Press spindle lock (3), turn axle until it locks.
Undo the collar (1). If neccessary use the
spanner.
Insert tool required into bush.
Tighten collar using spanner.
Release the spindle lock. Grinder is now
ready for use in hand.
Remove tools in reverse sequence.
