Programming the Feeding
Click on FEED PLAN and ADD TIME to set the feeding times. Here
you can programme different feeding times for 4 feeds and the days
when this is to be repeated. In addition to that, you can set the
number of portions given out for each feeding (1 portion = about 24 ml).
In the overview of all feeding times, you can simply activate or deac-
tivate individual feeding times.
Manual Feeding
1. Press FEEDING and choose the number of portions that you want to
give out right now.
2. By pressing CALL you can record a 10-second long audio message.
This is played with the feeding to attract the attention of your pet.
3. Under PROGRESS you can see all previous feeding times.
Video Transmission and Audio Recordings
• If you want to take a screenshot of the image shown on the camera,
click on TAKE PHOTO.
• If you want to communicate with your pet at home, click on SPEAK.
To record a video, click on RECORD.
• Under ALARM you can activate the motion detection of your camera
to receive notification when your pet approaches the automatic feed
dispenser.

Other Settings

• In the menu at the top on the right there are further settings possible.
• You can change the name of the device, share it or use the echo
function. Here you can also disconnect the device.
• The motion detection can be activated or deactivated as desired.
• Under default settings you have the option of activating status
display to check the status of the device, use FLIP SCREEN to flip the
display on the screen or activate infra-red night vision. You can also
set the audio mode to one-way or two-way.
Notifications
Under PROFILE and SETTINGS you can activate or deactivate notifi-
cations and manage these.
If you activate notifications, you get messages at each feeding time
or if the feed container is empty, and also when your pet approaches
the automatic feed dispenser. You can also see these notifications in
your profile under MESSAGES.
Acquainting your pet with the device
Some pets need a bit of time to get used to the new automatic feed
dispenser. Therefore we recommend the following:
• Place the automatic feed dispenser near your dog's or cats's normal
feed bowl without switching it on.
• At the start, fill the normal bowl as well as the bowl of the automa-
tic feed dispenser with food.
• Once your pet has become used to the automatic feed dispenser,
you can remove the normal bowl.
• To awaken your pet's curiosity, place a few treats in the bowl of the
automatic feed dispenser to start with.
Cleaning
Switch the automatic feed dispenser off and unplug it. Take the feed
bowl out. To do that, press the buttons on the right and left to re-
lease the bowl. Pull the feed container out upwards. The parts can be
cleaned with water (not dishwasher safe). The station should not be
cleaned with water, simply wipe it with a damp cloth. Feed container
and bowl should be completely dry before you fill in new food.
Error messages and troubleshooting
• If there is not enough feed left in the feed container, the alarm LED
will start flashing red. Refill feed and then initiate a manual feed by
pressing the SET button on the unit once. This ensures that the feed
mechanism of the device is also filled with feed.
• If you use feed that is too large (>15 mm) or very crumbly, it can
happen that the feed mechanism blocks and the feed is no longer
dispensed correctly. In this case the red alarm LED will start flashing
as well. To remove a blockage in the feed mechanism, all feed must
be removed from the device: Lift the feed container out of the device
and dump out the feed. Turn the feed screw at the bottom of the
hopper to remove any remaining feed from the mechanism. When
doing this, check the impeller for visible damage and remove any
coarse dirt. Then you can then reinsert the feed container and refill it.
• If you have activated the notifications in the app, you will be infor-
med automatically if one of the described problems occurs.
Tips for Using IoT Devices
• Update the software on your device when security updates become
available.
• Change the default passwords and use a password manager or if
desired a two-factor identification.
• Activate the firewall on your router.
• Create a separate WLAN network for IoT devices. In this case, the IoT
devices run on a separate network that has no connection to your
sensitive data or devices such as your computer.
• Activate encryption of the communication on your IoT devices
• Only connect your IoT Devices to the internet when remote access is
absolutely necessary.
• Use VPN for a secure connection to your home network when you
are away from home.
• If the setting UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is activated on your
router, you should deactivate it to stop your IoT devices from com-
municating unchecked on the internet.
• Make sure that external access to your devices is impossible or ex-
tremely difficult and no changes to your hardware can be made from
outside.
• USB or LAN ports should not be freely accessible as they can serve as
a gateway into your network and to your data for an attacker.
• Consider any passing on of personal data carefully and protect your
privacy.
• Consider carefully when security is more important than comfort
and functionality.
