Setting up Switch Scanning

As an alternative to directly selecting each button on the screen, the application offers single switch and
two-switch scanning. To access the options for customizing a scanning technique, choose Menu >
Settings > Scanning.

Description
Turns Scanning on or off. You must turn scanning on to access the other
settings.
You can choose to have scanning activate automatically, or you can choose to
either hold the switch or step to each location. With Auto Scan off, a switch
activation is required to move the scan through each button, one at a time.
Allows you to restart a scan cycle automatically after an activation.
Allows you to use the screen as a switch
Sets the number of switches being used, 1 Switch or 2 Switches
Sets audio feedback during scanning
Sets the speaker or an earphone as the audio output device
Sets the Prompt Voice
Sets the Prompt Voice rate
Sets the Prompt Voice pitch
Turns on or off scanning of the Speech Display Bar
Turns on or off scanning of empty button areas
Sets the scanning pattern to Sequential or Row/Column
