Factory-assembled the key switch is connected to the hand control. Remove the fastening to make
undesired changes more difficult for unauthorized persons.
We recommend to have a second key switch ready for use, to ensure that the blocking device can be
operated in case of a lost.

You must always deactivate the bed functions if you are uncertain as to the patient's
ability to operate the bed control system due to his/her physical or mental condition.

Specific warnings

By a drop out of the electric tension the bed can be brought to the lowest and horizontal position by the use
of the backup battery. This works only, when the battery is charged, the integrated is deactivated and all
electrical components work without any fault.
Attention: This function has not to be employed for regularly use, but especially in case of
emergency. Afterwards the backup battery has to be renewed immediately (see chapter 8.12).
If the motor of the head end bed base dropped out, it can be
manually placed in the horizontal position. To do this, the motor
must be detached from the bed base and placed on a support.
Two people are needed to carry out this manoeuvre – one person
to lift the bed base and the second to pull one of the attachment
axes (fold back the loops and pull upwards).The head-raising
device can then be placed in the horizontal position.
If you wish to re-connect the actuator to the bed base, lower the
actuator using the hand control and re-connect it to the bed base
with the pins.
Check in particular that the loops are once again
positioned so that the axes cannot come out of their
receptacle.
When you disconnect the plug from the mains, do not forget to wind this cable around the U-shaped
support provided for this purpose at the head of the bed (see figure) so as not to damage the cable
in any way.
