Warnings

This logo indicates a potential hazard. Pay particular attention to the hints whenever
you see this sign.
Use of the care bed presupposes a thorough knowledge of the instructions for use.
The following warnings must be read before installing the bed. Please, store this instructions for use
close to you.
Before and after using the bed and each time you move or adjust it, check that all the cables
are positioned in such a way that they do not trail over the floor and will not be compressed.
After use, check that all the screw joints are tightened correctly.
The bed comprises moveable sections that allow the bed base and the height of the bed to be adjusted.
When you are adjusting the bed, ensure that no object, animal or person is at risk of being trapped.
Once again, when adjusting the bed, check that no one is lying on the bed or close to the moveable
parts.
N.B. :The motors are very powerful. Do not allow children to play with them
Do not press the raising and lowering buttons at the same time.
Never crush the electricity supply cables.
Never open a motor yourself and do not use the bed in the event of defective electrical
components.
Ensure that there is nothing trapping the 230 V and 24 V electricity supply cables and that they are not
positioned in close proximity to the moveable section of the bed (head- or leg-raising device). Similarly,
check that nothing is above the cables that could cause damage. When moving or arranging the bed, do not
forget to wind the supply cable around the unit placed at the head of the bed, beneath the bed base.
Do not sit or rest on the sides of the bed when it is being adjusted electrically. You or another person shall
never sit down on the bed edges if one part of the bed base is inclined or raised. Wrong use can cause
damage to the actuators or to the movable structure.
Avoid placing all of the body weight on the head-raising part or on the leg part when inclined. This could
damage the bed.
The bed base head end should not be loaded with more than 100 kg, the bed base food part with not more
than 50 kg by the user.
Do not forget to apply the brakes every time when the bed is not moved. Also check that the castor brakes
are applied, especially before sitting on the bed.
When using accessories and especially mattresses to help prevent bedsores, ensure that the maximum
authorised load is not exceeded.
Use only original Thuasne spare parts for repair works and maintenance. The warranty is no longer valid if
other brand parts or devices, others than those recommended by Thuasne, are used.
The bed must only be used with accessories supplied by Thuasne, for instance, side rails and lifting pole etc.
If you have any doubts regarding the proper functioning of the motors, remove the plugs from the sockets so
as to eliminate any risk.
The bed can also be moved with patient. Before any move of the bed, please take care that the bed base is
in the lowest position and the side rails are upraised.
Move the bed slowly and do not drive over obstacles higher than 2 cm. Do not use the bed to transport
patients over a long distance. Use a wheel chair or other suitable aids for this purpose.
The bed must be in the lowest position when the patient gets up or lays on bed.
In order to prevent the hand-operated control unit from being activated inadvertently, place it in a safe place
or attach it to the outer section of the side rail.
