AUX input
In addition to the iPod and FM radio the M812 can support an auxiliary
audio source such as a portable CD player.
• Connect one end of the supplied .5 mm stereo cable into the
auxiliary input jack (AUX) located on the back of the M812
transmitter base, and the other end to the headphone or line out
jack on your auxilliary audio device.
Note: If you are connecting to a device that uses RCA type output
jacks you must use an optional adapter available at most electronic
stores to convert the RCA output to a .5 mm input.
The M812's remote can be used to control the CD player if it uses a
standard IR remote system and if the IR command for the CD player
is recorded. This is done by plugging the supplied IR repeater into the
transmitter base's IR port and aiming the IR repeater at the CD player's
IR sensor as shown.
Note: See "To program another IR remote to work with the M812"
in the Advanced Operation section.
FM antenna
The supplied FM antenna is for indoor use only. Move the antenna in
various directions until the clearest signal is received. Fix it with push
pins or similar implements in the position that provides best reception.
Power Adapter
• The M812 transmitter base is powered by the supplied power
adapter. Insert the barrel connector from the power adapter into the
DC input connector on the rear of the transmitter base. After this
connection is made, plug the power supply into a wall outlet.
Warning: Do not plug the speaker system's power plug into a wall
outlet until all connections are made. Also, turn off the audio source
(e.g., your iPod or alternate audio source) before connecting the output
to the speaker system's input.
