DO NOT use directly on parts of your skin where you have tattoos, dark brown
or black spots (such as large freckles, birthmarks or moles). These areas may
absorb too much light energy which can injure the skin.
DO NOT use on the ears, nipples, genitalia or around the anus. These areas may
have more sensitive skin and using the me ˉ there may cause serious injury.
DO NOT use on or around the eyes, eyebrows or eyelashes. Doing so can cause
permanent eye injury.
DO NOT use on a man's face, jaw or neck. Using the me ˉ in these areas may
result in skin injury.
DO NOT use the me on any area where you may want your hair to grow back.
The hair removal results may be permanent.
DO NOT use the me if you are sensitive to light (photosensitive):
- some diseases can be related to photosensitivity including porphyria,
polymorphic light eruption, solar urticaria and lupus
- some medications can be related to photosensitivity including: NSAIDS;
steroids; antibiotics; phenothiazine, thiazide, diuretics, sulfonyluraes,
sulfonamides, DTIC, fluorouracil, vinblastine, griseofulvin, Alpha-Hydroxy
Acids (AHAs), Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHAs), Retin-A, Accutane and/or topical
retinoids
- undergoing radiation or chemotherapy treatments
These conditions can make the skin more sensitive to light and more
susceptible to injury. Consult your doctor.
DO NOT use if you have an active skin condition in the treatment area including
acne, sores, psoriasis, eczema, sunburns, herpes simples, open wounds or
a rash. These conditions can make the skin more sensitive to light and more
susceptible to injury.

DO NOT use if you have a history of skin cancer or areas of potential skin
malignancies. Use of the me system has not been tested in areas with skin
cancer, and, therefore, the effects are unknown.
DO NOT hold the applicator window still over one spot on the skin and flash
multiple light pulses on the skin. Doing so may generate too much heat which
can injure the skin.
DO NOT use me ˉ if you experience redness on your skin and it persists for more
than 24 hours after treatment. Contact your doctor or Customer Service.
DO NOT cover any ventilation slots during use, as they help to keep the device
cool during operation. Covering the ventilation slots could result in device
overheating.
DO NOT get the me damp or wet
DO NOT use the me while bathing or put it next to a tub or sink
DO NOT operate the me with a damaged plug or cord
DO NOT use the me if any parts show signs of damage
DO NOT open the outer covers of the me or touch any inner parts
DO NOT attempt to repair your me device
ALWAYS keep the cord away from heated surfaces
Failure to follow these precautions can cause electrocution, electric shock or
result in injury.
DO NOT use the me in an environment where a spark could cause an explosion,
such as near a gas source.
