Fueling

Let engine cool down before re-fuelling

Clean area around filler cap, remove filler cap and
fill fuel only to the bottom edge of the filler neck.
Replace filler cap.
Note: Fuel may contain solvent-like sub-
stances.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Always wear gloves while re-fueling

Do not inhale petrol fumes.

Fuel should be stored in a place inaccessible for
children.
Handling

The engine should not run in closed rooms. Ex
haust gas is poisonous.

The exhaust / muffler will get very hot. Do not
touch.

For your safety, this mower is equipped with an
approved engine brake. As soon as the brake
lever is released, the engine and the blade will
stop within seconds.

When mowing on a slope, always ensure safe
footing.

Always operate the mower at walking speed

Always mow along a slope, never up or down.

Exercise caution when changing direction on a
slope

Exercise caution when you pull the mower to-
wards you.

Exercise caution when walking backwards with
the mower. Danger of stumbling.

Always normal body position, ensure good foot-
ing and balance.

Always maintain sufficient safety distance as pro-
vided by the length of the handle.
While starting

Place the mower on level ground for starting.

Do not start the mower in high grass.

When starting, ensure your feet in safe distance to
the mowing blade

Never place hands or feet close to any turning
parts.
Switch off engine and disconnect spark

correct and checked catcher or with deflector
which sits neatly against the mower housing.

Do not change the basic adjustment of the en-

If the mower has hit obstacles, ensure a specialist
checks the mower for any damaged or deformed
parts before continuing to use the mower.

Should the mower vibrate in an unusual manner,
a check by a specialist is required before continu-
ing to use the mower.
Maintenance and Storage

Ensure all screw connections are tight

Never store the mower with petrol in a building
where fuel vapor could be ignited by open flames
or by a spark.

Empty the fuel tank outdoors and collect fuel in a
suitable container.

Let engine run until any fuel still left in the carbu-
retor is used up.

Let mower and engine cool down before storing
in a room.

To avoid any danger of fire, clean battery room,
muffler area, fuel tank area and gearbox area (if
fitted on the machine) free from grass, leaves or
grease / oil.

Regularly check the grass catcher and discharge
flap for wear and ensure their proper working
order.
