INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR MODEL LCMB2 MOUNTING KIT
It is important to follow all instructions shipped with this product. This device is to be installed by a
trained electrician who is thoroughly familiar with the National Electrical Code and will follow the
NEC Guidelines as well as local codes.
The selection of the mounting location for the device, its controls and the routing of the wiring is to
be accomplished under the direction of the facilities engineer and the safety engineer. In addition,
listed below are some other important safety instructions and precautions you should follow:
• Read and understand all instructions before installing or operating this equipment.
• Do not connect a light to the system when power is on.
• After installation, test the light system to ensure that it is operating properly.
• After testing is complete, provide a copy of this instruction sheet to all operating personnel.
Failure to follow all safety precautions and instructions may result in property damage, serious
injury, or death to you or others.
A. General.
The Model LCMB2 Mounting Kit enables the user to install Federal Models 371, 371L,
371ST/DST, 27S, 121S, 225, FB2ST/PST, 131ST/DST, 141, and LSB-120 lights on an
outside corner.
B. Installation (see figure 1).
This installation requires the use of user supplied hardware. Therefore, obtain mounting hardware
that is appropriate for the mounting surface material before proceeding with the installation.
1. Check the parts received against the Kit Contents List (paragraph C.) to ensure that the
mounting kit is complete.
2. Place the backplate in position at the corner mounting surface. Using the backplate as a
template, scribe four corner drill position marks on the mounting surface.
3. Drill appropriate size holes, at the previously scribed marks and install suitable
1/4-20 mounting anchors (customer supplied).
4. Remove the 1/2-inch plug from the threaded hole at the base of the mounting bracket neck.
Replace the plug with a 1/2-inch conduit fitting (not supplied).

6. Start the two 1/4-20 x 1/4-inch set screws into the two threaded holes at the top of the
mounting bracket neck.
7. Feed the wires, protruding from the base of the light,down through the hole at the top of the
mounting bracket. Insert the light down into the mounting bracket neck and tighten both set
screws securely.
