4. MAINTENANCE:
Every 4 days the dosifier must be opened for inspection or to replace Trichlorine or Bromine.
Valves and joints should be inspected every three months.
4.1 OPENING
1. Before opening the feeder, operate the unit for 15 minutes to prevent gas from building up inside the feeder.
2. Disconnect the filtration system pump and adjust the control inlet and outlet valves to the OFF setting. Wait for a
minute.
3. Open the dosifier lid (Fig. 5).
CAUTION: Protect your hands and eyes. Do not inhale the fumes from the feeder.
4.2 REFILLING
Refill the feeder on a regular basis, without waiting for the tablets to be used up.
1. Drain the feeder partially, opening the outlet valve (to 1/3 of its capacity) and carefully placing the tablets inside the
feeder. (Maximum capacity 5Kg. or 10kg. as model)
2. Fill with water by opening the water inlet valve slightly.
4.3 CLOSING
1. Close the dosifier lid.
2. Connect the upper drain.
3. Start up the filtering equipment.
4. Open the outlet valve (Fig. 4) and the inlet valve (Fig. 3) allowing the water to flow through the dosifier.
5. START-UP:
Before starting up the feeder, your pool must have a suitable level of residual chlorine/bromine, according to the following
table. Follow the instructions provided by your distributor or the manufacturer of the chemical product.
Residual chlorine
Residual bromine
The chlorine/bromine consumed by the swimming pool varies depending on use, temperature, exposure to sun, etc. When
you first start to use the feeder, experiment until you find the valve adjustment required to maintain the proper level of
chlorine/bromine in the swimming pool.
Start by adjusting the inlet valve to the intermediate setting. Check the residual level on a regular basis and adjust the
control valve (Fig. 7). If you increase the amount of chlorine/bromine in the feeder, this will increase the intervals between
refilling.

6. WINTER STORAGE

In areas where freezing is expected, the feeder must be completely drained. To open the feeder, follow the steps in Point
4.1 of the maintenance section.
Eliminate the remains of the tablets that have not dissolved. Rinse the inside of the feeder with water.
If it will not be in operation for an extended period of time, always drain the feeder and remove the load from inside. Place
the feeder in a ventilated area and dry the load in the sun. Then, store it in a separate container.

7. SAFETY WARNINGS:

DANGER OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION (Read carefully)
• Only use slow-dissolving Trichlorine or Bromine tablets. Never mix different chemical products. This may cause an
explosion or fire.
• Never open the cover when the feeder is in operation. Disconnect the pump beforehand and close the valves.
• Be extremely careful when you open the unit. Do not smoke or inhale the fumes. Protect your hands and eyes.
• To prevent gas build up, make sure that the pool feedback line is always open, unless refilling or maintenance of the unit
is being performed.
• Chlorine and bromine are chemical products which may cause irritation to the eyes and mucous membranes.
