RS-232 SERIAL COMMANDS
The CP-65 Remote Control Preamplifier can be controlled using the RS-232 DB-9 port on the back of
the main unit. To properly communicate with the CP-65 you must configure the controlling device to
communicate at 9600 baud, 8 bits, no parity,1 stop bit with hardware control enabled.
To query the units current state enter the "?" and the following output will be returned.

Power status – 1 show the the unit is ON, 0 if OFF

Input status – L1, L2, L3 for Line, B1,B2,B3 for Balanced

Level status – UN1 or UN2 if input set to Unity Gain with mute on or off. : 00.0 for offset

Tape monitor status – 1 for Tape 1, 2 for Tape 2, 0 if tape monitor is OFF
O=3
Output Status 1 – for output 1, 2 for output 2, 3 for both outputs enabled
V= 00.0
Volume Status – Current displayed volume 00.0
M=0
Mute Status – 0 if mute is OFF, 1 if mute is ON
B=00.0
Balance Status – 00.0 if in balance. 01.5R indicates that the right channel is -1.5db
