MAINTENANCE
7.1
Inspections
Each time the machine is to be used, check that all the screws and nuts are correctly tightened. Check that the
protections are always in perfect state. Check that any blades, relevant bolts and the group of mowing parts are not
worn out or damaged. Substitute any worn out or damaged blades and relevant bolts with original spare parts, in order
to conserve their balancing. Substitute the exhaust pipe, if in bad state. Substitute the worn or spoiled elements to keep
the machine safe. The oil level in the four-stroke engines must be within the limits prescribed by the engine operating
and maintenance manual.
7.2
Ordinary maintenance
Engine oil
The lubricating oil of the four-stroke engines must be changed periodically; follow the engine manual. To discharge the
oil, remove the stick gauge and slope the machine on the side so that the oil loading/discharging pipe faces downwards;
it is recommended not to disperse the depleted oil in the environment.
Air fi
lter
air
The
filter should be cleaned and changed periodically; follow the engine manual.
Spark plug
Change the spark plug once a year, at the start of the season.
When changing the spark plug, scrupulously use the types prescribed in the engine manual.
Gearing chain
The chain which moves the wheels must be inspected and greased at least every 100 working hours removing the left
wheel and the plastic crankcase which covers it.
Cleaning of the machine
Cleaning must be carried out each day, whenever the machine is used. To clean the use it is advisable not to use a direct
water jet, especially if facing the engine.
Engine
For engine maintenance, read the relevant instructions manual carefully.
7.3
Extraordinary maintenance
Any mechanical operation must be carried out by specialised staff. Consult the retailer to know the name of the nearest
service centre.
Any modification to the machine not explicitly authorised by the constructor or the use of non-original spare parts
relieves the constructor from any responsibility or commitment.
Belt substitution
Disk movement transmission belt
It is housed in the body of the mowing machine, with access from the lower side. Use only original belts.
Wheels movement transmission belt
It is situated below the engine. To substitute it, it is necessary to remove the axle below the engine. Use only original
belts.
WARNING: STOP THE ENGINE WHENEVER CARRYING OUT
MAINTENANCE. MAKE SURE THE BLADE AND ALL THE MOVING
PARTS ARE NOT IN MOTION.
8.0
TRANSPORTATION
To reduce machine bulk during transfer or shelter, the handlebar may be folded by slackening the two fixing knobs,
taking care that the cables make smooth curves. The lifting operation of the machine must be carried out by at least two
persons, grasping the sides of the machine.
