Preparation of MISTRAL PREMIUM; SYSTEM
• Remove MISTRAL from the packaging.
• Loosen the screws (3) and open the cover of the connection housing (2) .
• Loosen the cable gland for the power supply (5) .
• If needed, loosen the cable gland for interface (6) .
Installation
• The device may only be installed by a trained technician.
• The surrounding temperature may not be higher than 65 °C
• The installation must ensure that
– only cold air is taken in.
– no (warm air) back pressure arises.
– the device is not exposed to the flow of hot air from another device.
• Protect MISTRAL against mechanical vibrations and shocks.
• Attach MISTRAL with four screws Ø M4 to the mounting tabs (1) .
• Avoid positioning the device perpendicularly. If a perpendicular position is absolutely necessary, make sure
device can cool off – Overheating risk.
• For installation dimensions, see page 3 (Size)
• If the air contains dust use a Leister stainless steel filter (see accessories) and push it on the Connection ø
38 for air hose or stainless steel filter (8).
• In the case of particularly critical dusts (e.g. metal, electrically conductive or damp dusts), special filters must
beused to avoid short-circuits in the device.
Connection
• The MISTRAL must be connected by a trained technician.
• A suitable apparatus for disconnecting the device from the mains for all poles must be present in the power supply cord!
• It must be ensured that the connection cords have no contact with the heating element pipe and that they are
not exposed to the jet of hot air.
• The device must be connected in accordance with the Wiring Diagram on pages 4, 5, 6 of the Operating Manual:
– Carry out the wiring in the connection housing (9) .
• CAUTION: Check the settings for the code switch for the MISTRAL PREMIUM (see Wiring Diagram on page 4 or 5).
• Tighten the cable gland for the power supply cord (5) and the cable gland for the interface (6) .
• Attach the cover for the connection housing (2) using the screws (3) .
• Connect MISTRAL to the mains.
• If needed, slide the matching nozzle or reflector onto the heating element pipe (4) .
• Care must be taken to ensure that the hot air can flow out freely, as otherwise
the device could suffer damage from warm air back pressure (danger of fire!).
• Switch on the mains.
• Set the desired heat capacity using the MISTRAL PREMIUM potentiometer (10) .
• Set MISTRAL PREMIUM potentiometer (10) to level 0 and allow it to cool off.
• Allow MISTRAL SYSTEM to cool down after heating operation.
Changing nozzle / reflector
Risk of burning! Do not touch heating element tube and nozzle when they are hot.
Before changing the nozzle or the reflector allow the device to cool off.
Before opening the external potentiometer housing, the device must be disconnected at all poles from the
power supply line.
Caution: Always operate the device with air supply!
