1. Introduction

Important!

• The area of application of this industrial
door is set out in EN 13241-1
• The installation, repair, maintenance
and dismantling of the door must be
carried out by a qualified expert, in ac-
cordance with EN12635
• Upon commissioning the door, the qua-
lified expert must check for potential
hazards and satisfy himself that the
door is balanced and functioning pro-
perly and so it can be operated manu-
ally in accordance with EN 12604 and
EN 12453

General instructions

• First read the entire installation manual
before starting the installation! Please
read the comments and take special note
of the safety instructions and warning
guidelines!
• Please note that the generally applicable,
statutory and other binding rules for
accident prevention and environmental
protection, national rules as well as all
recognized technical regulations for safe
and expert execution of the work, must be
observed at all times.
• Check that the supplied mounting hardware
for the applicable construction situation is
suitable.
• Follow the sequence as shown in the
installation drawings.
• Always use appropriate and good quality
tools.
• Only carry out work to the industrial door
when the door is not in operation.
• Pay special attention to any hazards that
may arise from tensioning the springs.
Always use specialized tools for this!
• Failure to follow these instructions can
cause serious injury or damage the
equipment.

• The components are made from high-
quality, sustainable and solid materials.
Nevertheless, during the installation all
necessary precautions must be taken to
avoid damage.
• Always replace defective parts with original
parts, otherwise a safe and correct
operation of the door cannot be guaranteed;
and there is a risk of invalidating the
warranty!

Substructure and attachment
Install the speedroller door on a steel or con-
crete structure that is strong enough to absorb
the wind load forces. You are strongly advised
not to install the speedroller door on to mason-
ry, gypsum concrete etc. You are advised to first
erect a solid steel frame.
Warning
• During the installation there is a risk
of falling components which can
injure persons or damage objects.
Secure the columns and the top roller
carefully during the installation.
• Upon contact with mains voltage
there is a risk of electrocution. Make sure
that the electrical installation at the
customer site complies with the appli-
cable safety requirements.
• During all work on the doors, make sure
the power is switched off and protect it
against unauthorized operation. If pre-
sent, shut down the lever for emergency
opening.
• Never connect ac power to the control.
This will lead to irreparable damage to
the electronics.
• Only perform welding and grinding
work when this is expressly permitted.
Beware as there may be a risk of fire or
explosion! Ensure there is adequate
ventilation for welding or grinding as
dust and other flammable substances
may cause an explosion hazard.

Tolerances
All parts are manufactured with the utmost
precision within the standard tolerances.

Functional test
• After completing the installation, operation
of the door must be checked using the final
inspection list on page 70.
• Fill out the final inspection list truthfully
and sign it.
• Next hand the installationmanual to the
customer, together with all other documen-
tation.

Commissioning
Warning
A faulty door can cause injury to people or
damage objects. Use the door only when it
is in a faultless condition.

• An electrically controlled door can only be
commissioned after it has been issued with
a Certificate of Conformity.
• This door can only be used at ambient
temperatures between 0 and +40 degrees
Celsius.
• Instruct users how to operate the door. Do
not allow third parties (such as visitors) to
operate the door.
• This installation manual must be given to
the customer and must be kept within easy
reach during the entire period of use.
• Do not modify the software of the pro-
grammable operating system.
• The product may only be modified or added
to by the supplier.

improper use or by incorrectly carrying out
the installation instructions.
• Please note that current regulations require
an annual inspection by an expert.
• Annually or after 100,000 cycles, a
maintenance service must be carried out,
whichever occurs earlier.
Warning
Persons or objects can be injured or dama-
ged by door movements.
• Make sure that when the door moves,
there are no persons or objects within
the range of the door.
• Do not touch the guide rails, the tensio-
ning spring, the tension belt or the
return pulley when the door is moving.
• Never place objects against the door
panel or against the top roller.
• Do not attach any components to the
door panel which could make the door
panel heavier or thicker
• Never use the door to lift persons or
objects.

Dismantling
The door can be dismantled by a qualified ex-
pert by carrying out the instructions in chapter
4 in reverse order.
Warning
During dismantling there is a risk of falling
components, which can injure persons or da-
mage objects. For example, secure the top
roller with a fork lift before dismantling it.
